Our Pittsburgh show has unfortunately fallen under the blindingly white axe of the second blizzard.

This hopefully concludes the Great Tour Bummer of 2010. We are still planning on playing Elizabethtown, PA on Saturday, knock on wood.

Blizzard – I’d rather have mine with Heath Bar

Unless you’re living under a snow-covered rock, you know about the intense one-two blizzard punch that is now socking the northeastern seaboard in its glass jaw. Well, the first snow knocked out our shows in DC and Wilkes-barre, and now the second one has put shows in NYC and Philadelphia down for the count.

We didn’t take this lightly, but here’s what it looks like here, before the second blizzard has its way with us:

CANCELED: NYC AND PHILLY SHOWS!!!

So do what we’re doing: stay inside until Thursday, and then get to Pittsburgh, where we’ll hopefully play our show at Lava Lounge (weather permitting), and then to Elizabethtown PA, where we hit Folklore Coffee on Saturday.

In the meantime, don’t shower, work from home and move through all those projects that have been on your to-do list.

Go South in January

So, we took a week-long tour in January, hitting Richmond, Charleston, Knoxville, Athens, Chapel Hill, Winston-Salem and Fredericksburg. We met awesome people and played some fun shows. Pasted below are some of the things we saw on our travels.

Thanks to everyone that put us up on tour, and to all that bought a cd, shirt, signed up on the mailing list, or just stopped by to say hi after we played. See you all again soon.

Friday Show at Velvet Lounge

This Friday we return to the sweet sticky embrace of the Velvet Lounge, whose upstairs’ walls hug you like that older guy that you see out at bars who’s a friend of a friend and he’s really touchy feely and you figure he must be on drugs, but you’re not sure if he’s faking just so he can get a little too close, but it seems heartfelt and warm and so you hug him back even if it’s a little creepy. Plus, cool people and cheap drinks. Come see us play with Mother and The Swimmers from Philly. We’ll be playing new songs that have been polished up for recording, which starts on Saturday!
